In 1987 the Chamberlain family tuned a lifelong hobby into a profession  and opened their first Outdoor shop in Harrogate. In those days Goretex® was brand new technology and women had to make do with small guy’s sizes- fleeces definitely didn’t come in pink! A lot has changed since then but Out & About is still a family business and we still love the outdoors.
